'Staff work well with parents to support the children's well being.

Parents are given a comprehensive prospectus when their children start, which includes the nursery's policies.

Information about the children is shared on a daily basis and parents have the opportunity to meet with staff to discuss their child's progress.

Parents are actively encouraged to feedback any comments they may have about the setting to the owner and staff on accessible evaluation cards'.

Amanda and Joan of Little Angels (right & centre) at the award ceremony for their successful completion of their Quality Assurance modules 2 & 3.

Presenting the Little Angels certificate, at Endeavour House, Ipswich, is Vicki Muller, (left) Head of the Early Years Service at Suffolk County Council.

Joan is seen here with Tim Young, Chair of ImagineNewmarket, an East Anglian based community group working towards the construction of an Imagination Centre for children in Newmarket.

Joan and all the Little Angels team gave up time and resources to support ImagineNewmarket on a recent 'Let's Build It' Day for the project.

The certificate is a big thank you to the Little Angels team for all their hard work and support of all the school children who took part.

Little Angels have achieved success in three modules...

  • Welcomes, farewells and transitions.
  • Meeting everyone's needs.
  • Meals, snacks and celebrations.

The team are now working towards completion of

module 4 - Play & Learning: inside and out.

The whole quality asssurance process is overseen by Joan at Little Angels, with co-ordination of the team undertaken by Amanda.

Everyone on the team has the opportunity to contribute ideas from their practice - ensuring quality is a keyword at Little Angels.

Little Angels team go into space...

Little Angels have again this year sponsored a series of

events for the community organisation ImagineNewmarket.

Our team has supported seven Space Days in June and July 2008. Working with schools from across Suffolk and Cambrideshire the Little Angels team helped nearly 500 children to explore space, galaxies and rockets.

The children built and flew their own rocket as part of their day. After having their lunches we helped them to understand how spiral galaxies are created and how the planets rotate around the sun. (See photograph below...)

For more information on the Space Days we helped to deliver see the ImagineNewmarket web site at www.imaginenewmarket.org.uk

A big thank you to our team for all their hard work. To all the children as well, who worked really hard to enjoy themselves and learn some galactic knowledge along the way.

See you there next year...
