Little Angels Day Nursery - Quality Childcare in the East of England

Useful web links for our parents,

carers and visitors

http://www.minti.com

Minti is a an award winning American site - run by parents.

It is an interesting mix of information bulletin board and social networking site - a sort of MySpace for people with children.

You can join for free - or browse over 4,000 articles on children and parenting.

One interesting aspect is that you can see a variety of posted comments from parents that represent a range of experience (and advice) on a theme or topic.

http://kids.direct.gov.uk/

A great site for children. Wonderful noises, voices and effects to show how the Town Hall works, the Police Station and even an art gallery.

Informative and fun - best viewed with a high speed internet connection. We loved it!

The Green Parent

You'll find lots of information and inspiration here, whether you want to read articles on natural parenting or try out guilt-free shopping.

...covers all aspects of family life from birth to alternative education, eco house and garden to nutrition.

Text from Green Parenting web site

BBC - Parenting

A great site for parenting, packed

with information and reflection on

being a parent.

A page for dads too.

With other sections on play and do, an interactive page and thoughts on mum returning to work.

The Harker Report on Child Poverty

Lisa Harker's report highlights the strides the UK government have taken in tackling child poverty.

The story is mixed in terms of outcome, with evidence that much more needs to be done - to improve the quality of life for all our children.

www.zpzpartners.it

An Italian website - which features the work of Michele Zini and his associates. Michele is an architect, designer and visionary thinker about spaces for children.

Interesting pictures of how settings might be in the UK - with links to other cutting edge Italian designers for children.

www.woodlands-junior.kent.sch.uk/ichild.html

A safe games site for children, by a Kent School.

Some great fun and informative links. We loved it.

www.lse.ac.uk/collections/nursery/childrensArtGallery.htm

The Nursery art gallery from the

London School of Economics. Surprising.
